The Legal Copywriting Company Blog

The humble brochure.  It is so easy to think “why bother” in the age of websites, social media and content marketing.  Why spend money on a printed brochure when you have all the information your clients need on your website? Well a brochure is still a reliable, respected way of marketing to your perspective clients.  Here are a few reasons to consider before you consign yours to the scrap heap.
  1. Plenty of people still love reading paper.  Yes, I know it may be hard to believe but there are still many folks out there ( and not just those of a certain generation) who like to take their time and read a proper brochure full of information rather than skim through a few web pages.
  2. You can make brochures look great.  With the right design and great content a brochure can be a wonderful way to showcase your firm’s desired image and expertise.
  3. Different brochures can highlight separate practice areas.  You can have different brochures for family law, property law etc.  They can include useful information about the particular area of law and the practice area experts in your team.
  4. People can read a brochure while they are waiting in your firm’s reception.  You may have a client waiting for an appointment to purchase their first home.  They pick up a brochure on Wills, read it and commission you organise their Will for them on top of the house purchase.
Recently I had a number of brochures printed off and I hand delivered them to law firms in my local area.  I know that they contain all the information a legal practice manager would need to become familiar with my business and they look great. So don’t discount the brochure and make sure you have some in your reception so your clients can read about all the expert services your firm offers while they are waiting for their next appointment.
